Our mission is to empower communities in developing nations by providing access to clean water and financial resources. Through the provision of microfinance loans, we aim to address the immediate need for clean water and drive sustainable economic growth and improve quality of life. Our goal is to create a world where all people can access safe, clean water and the resources to thrive.
Access to clean water is a fundamental human right and is crucial for promoting health, education, and economic development. In many developing nations, however, this basic need is often unmet, leading to preventable diseases, poverty, and reduced opportunities for growth. By providing microfinance loans to support clean water initiatives, we aim to address this issue and help break the cycle of poverty. We believe that by empowering communities with the resources and support they need, we can create a brighter future for generations.
Clean water is a fundamental human right because it is essential for survival and well-being. Access to safe and clean water is necessary for drinking, cooking, and hygiene. It is a key factor in preventing waterborne diseases and promoting good health. Additionally, access to clean water is crucial for economic development, enabling individuals to engage in productive activities and build a better future for themselves and their families.
The United Nations recognizes access to safe and clean drinking water as a basic human right and has included it as one of the Sustainable Development Goals. This recognition reflects the global community's commitment to ensuring that all people have access to this essential resource, regardless of location, socio-economic status, or other factors. Clean water is a fundamental human right and a necessary precondition for realizing other human rights, such as health, education, and an adequate standard of living.
Access to clean water is a major issue affecting communities around the world. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 2 billion people lack access to safely managed drinking water, and over 4 billion lack access to adequate sanitation facilities. This lack of access to clean water and proper sanitation leads to various health problems, including waterborne diseases, which are major causes of illness and death, particularly among children.
The problem of access to clean water is particularly acute in developing countries, where poverty, lack of infrastructure, and limited resources often make it difficult to provide this essential resource to all people. The impact is especially severe in rural areas, where access to clean water is often limited or non-existent. This lack of access to clean water affects public health, limits economic growth, and contributes to poverty.
Alexandra (Lexi) Stanton founded Vitaqua in 2022 to address the global clean water crisis which affects billions of people, particularly in developing countries. The lack of access to clean water leads to a range of health problems, including waterborne diseases, which are a major cause of illness and death, particularly among children. This lack of access also limits economic growth and contributes to poverty, as people are unable to engage in productive activities and build a better future for themselves and their families.
